Web Accessibility

Web accessibility refers to the practice of making websites usable by people of all abilities. When sites are correctly designed and developed, all users can have equal access to information and functionality.

Priory Web Services is fully committed to accessibility. This means working to W3C standards for XHTML, CSS and accessibility guidelines wherever possible. The benefits are cross browser compatibility, accessibility and built in Search Engine Optimisation.

The following accessibility features have been incorporated throughout our website:

  • There is a text equivalent for every non-text element
  • Documents are organised so that they can be read without Style Sheets
  • When scripts, applets, or other programmatic objects are turned off all pages are still useable
  • Relative units are used in fonts so that users can control the text size
  • No pop-up or new windows are used without informing the user
